Hello and welcome to my website, heres a little about me.

About Me: I don’t want to ramble on about me too much so ill keep it short. I am a Nottingham boy born and bred and very proud of my native city. I moved to Liverpool in 1987 and it was there that I was lucky enough to meet my soul mate, Amanda. I returned home to Nottingham in 2008, just after we were married on the beautiful Amalfi Coast in Italy. We have since been blessed with our two amazing children, Frank and Elsie.

“Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up.”

– Pablo Picasso

My creativity stems way back to my childhood and upon leaving school I qualified for art college. When I graduated I secured a position as a display assistant for Waring & Gillow in Nottingham, the largest furniture store in the country at the time. Working my way up to Area Manager before stepping out into self employment for the next fifteen years, however my artistic creativity was always bubbling under the surface. After meeting my wife Amanda and through her encouragement and support, I finally fulfilled my dream and One Love was successfully created.

Wedding photography is not the only area of photography I work in, namely; family, food, portraiture, commercial and fashion, running a small studio which is also my client meeting place and viewing suite. It is located in Wollaton with easy access from Nottingham City Centre and the M1 at Junction 25 and 26. Just like my wedding work, the emphasis is to capture natural expressions and have never felt the need for my clients to force a smile for me. First and foremost I am a people photographer who loves to find out about my clients and ultimately, tell that special family story.

How I Work.

I am a wedding photographer that covers the whole of Nottingham, the East Midlands and I’m also known to venture all around the UK. My style can be described as contemporary, reportage or even documentary photography..it is what it is. I take the best possible photographs depending on what is happening, as it happens, anticipating the event rather than dictating it so as not to impact on your planning. This results in a fantastic, happy and a genuine portrayal of your special day.  I can do this quickly, imaginatively and always encourage input from my clients, embracing any ideas which let their personalities shine through.

My priority is to ensure that I leave you with a collection of fantastic photographs that you will cherish for a lifetime. If you’re interested in an unobtrusive, natural record of your big day then please book in for an informal chat. I am a photographer that likes to work with the minimum of fuss and interruptions keeping posed and group shots limited only to your requests. If you have a few moments to browse through my wedding portfolio or featured weddings, this will give you a great idea of the approach I take when photographing any wedding day. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have and look forward to finding out about your expectations and plans.

So where does that leave you?

Arrange to meet at least three companies, speak to the wedding photographer in person and make sure you’re not speaking to the sales guy. Ask to see their wedding albums, which should show complete weddings i.e. from the bridal preparations through to the evening reception. This way you can ascertain if the quality of their wedding photography is consistent throughout the day. Any photographer could produce an album full of their best work from a variety of weddings, but this does not show you if a professional photographer has any weakness in a specific area. Also look at the group shots, do they show the wedding party having a great time and are they looking relaxed and natural? If so this shows the photographer has a good rapport with his clients and so can put your guests at ease. The single most important factor regarding finding the right wedding photographer for you, is that you actually like him or her. Ask yourself… “Will I be happy to spend the most important day of my life with this guy?” And “do I want my Wedding Photographs to look like his work?”

So use your ‘gut’ instinct, read between the lines and stay away from those special once in a lifetime, never again deals — if you actually like the wedding photographer, love his work and his prices are on budget — what are you waiting for? …book him, and book him FAST !!!
