Goosedale, Nottingham

Kevin and Rebecca invited me to photograph their wedding at St. Patrick’s Church in Nuthall, with a reception planned at Goosedale in Papplewick it was shaping up to be a fantastic day. The bridal preparations were scheduled to be at The Belfry Hotel, Nottingham. All was well at prep and they had a really relaxed atmosphere going on, this resulted in arriving a little late for the service but the relaxed vein of the wedding was set. The Revd Barbara was the prefect host and the sermon was truly fitting. Rebecca looked stunning in her wedding gown and beautiful cathedral veil. With the service due to start at 1:30pm St. Patrick’s really is a stunning church which dates back to the 13th century and could be one of the most intimate churches Ive ever worked in but great things certainly come in small packages.

After the service we had a few group shots in the grounds of the church and  then it was off to the Goosedale. Goosedale is a historic site dating back to around the 17th century and it is set within 100 acres and the views are breath-taking of Nottinghamshire. It is a privately owned corporate and wedding venue which is only minutes away from Nottingham city centre and has easy access from junctions 26 and 27 of the M1. Goosedale, Nottingham prides itself on a fantastic level of service with style and certainly holds some individuality against the other Nottinghamshire bridal venues.

The speeches were my favourite part of the whole day, with many of the family and guests wanting their chance to stand up and pass on their best wishes to Kevin and Rebecca. It really showed what this couple really meant to all their gusts and Im not surprised, they really were a special couple and it was a true pleasure to be present at one of the pivotal moments of their life together. When the dancing commenced it was all feet to the dance floor and there was some real soul there. It was a beautiful day for two fantastic people who I know will be very happy together, best wishes guys.
